Dato’ Prof. Dr. Hashim Yaacob graduated BDS from The Univ. of Otago, N. Zealand in 1974, MSc in Oral Pathology and Oral Medicine at the Univ. of London, FDSRCPS from the Royal College Of Physicians and Surgeons, Glasgow, UK. He is a Chartered Biologist of The Institute of Biology, UK. He was awarded the Honorary Fellowship in Dental Surgery Ed. Eundem by The Royal College of Surgeons of England. He is a Foundation Fellow in Oral Pathology of The Royal College of Pathologist of Australasia. He is the only dental surgeon in this country who has been awarded the status Fellow of The Academy Of Sc. of M’sia. Academically, he has held the posts of Head of Dept. of Oral Surgery and Oral Medicine; Deputy Dean; Dean at the Faculty of Dentistry. He then subsequently was appointed Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Student Affairs and later, the Vice Chancellor of the Univ. of Malaya. He has always believed that all people regardless of race and beliefs should live in harmony with each other. On this principle, he went on to study and obtained a Dip. in Islamic Studies that dealt mainly with Comp. Religion studies from the IIUM.

Tahniah Dato'. Moga tidak sesia ruang ini kepada para pengunjung. Apapun, yang bakal ditatap atau dikomen, kami akan selalu faham justeru selama manusia bergelar manusia mereka sering beranggapan hanya mereka yang selalu benar. Mereka hanya ingin menghukum tanpa perlu usul. Adakah itu keterlaluan? Tidak tentunya, kerana mereka cuma ada rasa tapi tidak punya hati.
